ReDrawing Edinburgh
This 23-minute long film was part of the City of Edinburgh Council's series of events to mark the 100th anniversary of the expanison of Edinburgh in 1920. Back then 5 outlying areas that ringed Edinburgh became officially part of the city. Cramond, Corstorphine, Liberton, Leith and Colinton all merged with Edinburgh and the city tripled in size. A series of community-led events and projects were envisaged to run throughout 2020, co-ordinated and with the assistance of the Council's Archive Department but the pandemic meant that all of these had to move online or not happen at all. However, around Spring 2021, an Edinburgh-based film producer, Amanda Rogers, proposed an archive film project to the Council and they agreed to support it. The film would be projected onto buildings in each of the 5 areas in Spetember 2021. The images below are from one of the locations we screened - down in Cramond Village.

Dark Sense feature project
The feature film DARK SENSE completed its six-week shoot in May 2017. For this project I adapted Peter Flannery's excellent Kindle-published bestseller, FIRST AND ONLY, into the DARK SENSE screenplay, along with Geoff Holder. Director Magnus Wake and producer Simone Bett have done a tremendous job bringing all the elements of this production together and the finished feature film is excellent. The movie has had a fantastic run on the international film festival circuit, screening in some of the highest-profile festivals in the USA and picking up Best International Film Award at the SENE Film Festival in New England. In August it will screen at the Chichester Film Festival and the prestigious FrightFest in London's Leicester Square!
Spy thriller feature project
I'm currently developing a feature film script with Weiwei Si and it's now at an advanced stage. Weiwei, of Brainstorm Films, was previously first unit 1st AD on the Jackie Chan movie Bleeding Steel and directed all 24 episodes of a comedy sci-fi series for Chinese TV.
